Do you offer virtual therapy?
Yes. All sessions are held virtually, which means you can attend therapy from wherever you are in Minnesota — your home, office, or anywhere private and stable.
Sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant video platform. You'll receive a secure link before each appointment. A reliable internet connection and a private space are all you need to get started.
Elaina is licensed in Minnesota. Virtual therapy through this practice is available to clients located in Minnesota at the time of each session. If you have questions about whether virtual therapy is the right fit for your situation, feel free to reach out.
What ages do you work with?
Therapy is available for teens ages 12 and up, as well as adults. Elaina has experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults across a wide range of needs.
If you're a parent or caregiver exploring therapy for a teen, the contact form is a good starting point. Elaina can talk through whether her approach is a good fit before scheduling.
Do you take insurance?
Select insurance may be accepted depending on current credentialing and individual plan requirements. Insurance availability is not guaranteed and may change.
If you plan to use insurance, you are responsible for verifying your benefits directly with your insurance carrier before your first session. Coverage, deductibles, and co-pays vary by plan and cannot be confirmed on your behalf.
Cash pay is always available. A limited number of reduced-rate or pro bono slots may be available depending on capacity and fit — reach out to ask about current availability.
Do you offer EMDR?
Elaina is trained in EMDR but is not currently offering EMDR processing as part of her practice.
What she does offer: stabilization work, emotional regulation skill-building, and window-of-tolerance support — evidence-informed approaches that help clients build the capacity to manage distress before and alongside any deeper trauma processing.
If EMDR processing is specifically what you're looking for, Elaina can speak to whether a referral or a different fit might better serve your goals.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is an intake. It's a structured conversation, not a deep dive into your worst moments. Elaina will ask about what's bringing you in, your history, and what you're hoping to work on.
You'll also have space to ask questions — about her approach, what therapy might look like, and whether this feels like the right fit. You don't have to share everything in session one.
Elaina gathers enough information to understand your current situation, identify any immediate concerns, and begin forming a sense of how she can best support you.
The therapeutic relationship develops over time. The first session is a starting point, not a commitment to a specific path.
Are you accepting new clients?
Availability changes. Rather than posting a static status here, the best way to find out is to reach out directly.
Use the contact form to share a bit about what you're looking for. Elaina will respond to let you know whether there's a current opening and whether it may be a good fit.
Still have questions?
If something isn't covered here, reach out. There's no obligation — just a conversation about whether this could be the right fit.
